Chandra Thiessen is the Principal Designer and Owner of Chandra Laine Design Inc. Chandra has always been driven to elevate her surroundings through creative means. In 2010 she graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and in 2014, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Interior Design from Mount Royal University. Chandra is continually seeking to hone her knowledge and professional development. She is NCIDQ (National Certification for Design Qualifications) certified and currently a member of The Alberta Association of Architects as an Intern Interior Designer as she pursues her licensure through the AAA.

Prior to founding CLD Inc., Chandra was mentored for three and a half years working for FWBA Architects. During this time Chandra gained a great appreciation for seeing Architectural projects through from concept to completion, including experience working on educational, commercial, healthcare and residential projects. From there she went on to gain valuable experience in Project Management, working for Alberta Health Services for two years. It is this breadth of experience that makes Chandra a passionate advocate for the concept to completion design process offered by CLD Inc.

Chandra tenaciously pursues creative, intelligent, thoughtfully considered solutions on behalf of her clients. She is extremely detail oriented and works with professionalism and proven communication skills. Her depth of experience translating functional requirements into the built environment, with creative vision and confidence, allows her clients to enjoy the process. Chandra sincerely believes that the best and brightest solutions arise amidst collaboration, when clients, tradespeople, artisans and consultants are given a voice at the table.

Chandra resides in Lethbridge with her husband Luke, her daughter Sophie and their two kitties, Charlie and Winnie. Whether painting, or gardening in her beloved yard, Chandra is always seeking to bring a little order to the chaos.
